DETAILS: Focusing around the central theme, "infinite driving pleasure," creative studio PIXOMONDO and creative agency Wolf Production designed, conceived and developed the entire media show for BMW's 65th International Motor Show in Frankfurt/Main 2013.
The media-wall measured almost 1000 square meters and stretched over the entire pavilion alongside a specially-constructed driveway. The wall featured two live shows with live-to-screen interaction. It also displayed over 30 minutes of life-sized cgi landscape and city animations which served as an interactive backdrop for the "permanently" driving cars inside the pavilion.
The Highlight of the BMWi "born electric" area was a giant interactive screen developed together with NSYNC Berlin. The screen was completely programmed in V4 which made accessible, in an entertaining way, the broad and complex theme of the BMWi services and technology.
The project, including the pitch phase, stretched over a year. It was developed among three studios in Germany and with an average team of over 30 artists and producers.
My job started in march 2013 where I was brought in to begin with layouting different shows for the project. Afterwards I developed the particle trails for the countdown as well as the camera animation for it. Further down the production I took over the countdown and developed all other particle animations for the different shows, then I started compositing the city shots using the 3D rendering from the 3DS Max department. Alltogether it was a 5-month project for me with a lot of variety and I was able to learn and contribute a lot, which was a great pleasure. It was my biggest project to date.

Only Trapcode Particular was used, except for some text transitions, where I used Trapcode Form. This is the Highlight Show part of the Volkswagen booth at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
The original size was about 2500px wide with a lot of small particle details, which unfortunately got lost in the Vimeo compression.
